Select Control Panel / StarTap / Fonts to show the System Font Selection dialog. From here you can assign specific fonts to be used by the system, and by StarTap. Be careful with large System Fonts, greater than 9 points. This can lead to dialog boxes that overflow the size of the screen, and you can't see the buttons to make them go away! The most interesting, and safe, fonts to change are those for StarTap Desktop, and Explorer List and Tree views.

Also on this page is a section called Wide Dialogs. The Windows CE 2.01 devices have some odd behaviors with mixtures of fonts, and this function can help. If you suffer from this problem, do this:

Use Move Fonts To Fonts to move all of your installed fonts to the \ Windows \ Fonts directory. Now, use Explorer to see what fonts are in there. If there are any Tahoma fonts, get rid of them!. Drag them from the Fonts directory somewhere else (anywhere but \, \ Windows, or \ Windows \ Fonts).

Now, use Move Fonts To Windows to get the remaining fonts out of the Fonts directory. Finally, shut down StarTap and soft-reset your PPC. With luck, the wide dialogs will be gone!
